Albus Brooks’ two terms as president of the Denver City Council ended Monday evening. The council appointed Jolon Clark as its new president and Councilwoman Stacie Gilmore as president pro-tem.

Brooks sat down with Kyle Clark on his last day as president to discuss affordable housing, why the council didn’t do more in regards to the sexually suggestive texts Mayor Michael Hancock sent to a Denver police officer, and whether he’ll run for mayor himself.
