Pueblo rates highly among “8 Praiseworthy Low-Cost Cities,” the cover story for Where to Retire magazine’s November-December issue. The other cities featured in the article are Tampa, Fla.; Waco, Texas; Tupelo, Miss.; Sierra Vista, Ariz.; Moses Lake, Wash.; Lafayette, La.; and Cleveland, Tenn.

“Retirees love nothing more than to flee cities with high prices and land in a place where money has a long shelf life. Put beautiful scenery into the mix, like Pueblo’s Rocky Mountains backdrop, and there you have it,” magazine editor Annette Fuller said. “These eight cities keep costs low and satisfaction high.”

Note that she gave equal billing to high satisfaction and low cost, not one over the other.
