The Pueblo Chieftain editorial: Lest we forget

Lest we forget is the theme of a month of events honoring the hundreds of Pueblo men who served in World War I, which the United States officially entered a century ago this week (April 6, 1917).

An exhibit will run the entire month at the Robert Hoag Rawlings Public Library’s InfoZone News Museum, displaying the war and the personal stories of some Pueblo veterans who went “over there,” as songwriter George M. Cohan described the European conflict for patriotic Americans.

Saturday will include a program on World War I aircraft replicas at the Weisbrod Aircraft Museum next to Pueblo Memorial Airport.
