Thanks to the generosity of several Pueblo businesses, the Pueblo Police Department fleet includes patrol cars completely repainted to match the popular black-and-white design and new decals sported by more recent additions to the fleet.

Extreme Auto Body, Southwest Motors and D&S Paint Center have teamed up the past several months to repaint beat-up police cruisers that had peeling paint and worn-down looks.

“The new design was so well-received by the public that it was decided to seek donation funding to repaint several of our older Crown Victoria patrol units to match the new black-and-white design,” said Kim Wittrup, the police department’s fleet manager. “In all, 12 units have been repainted.”
