…with eight days to go as of this morning. The Secretary of State’s Office also says 331,153 of those returned ballots were cast by Democrats; 300,275 came from Republicans, and 223,540 were from unaffiliated voters. That update comes courtesy of a report in The Gazette in Colorado Springs.

Just for the record: No, those ballots haven’t been opened yet. So, even if any of us wanted to know which way the election returns were tilting at this point—and we don’t really want to know (do we?)—that information is not yet available. We’ll have to wait until after 7 p.m. next Tuesday, Nov. 8. In the meantime, keep calm and carry on. And mark up and return your ballot if you haven’t already done so.
