WATCH: Why is the oil and gas industry afraid of Jared Polis?

The oil and gas industry held a big rally at the Colorado state Capitol last week. It was a demonstration of political power in a year it might face Initiative 97 — which would greatly increase drilling setbacks from homes.

And the Democratic candidate for governor, U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, is considered by the oil and gas industry a longtime enemy, although he has softened his tone in recent years and in fact has come out against 97.
