Dear Editor,

I saw that the April 11 edition of The Colorado Statesman includes your one and a half page feature articles on each of two of the three candidates for U.S. Representative in the Sixth Congressional District. I also noticed that you neglected to mention what positions the Democratic and Republican candidates take on even a single public policy issue.

I greatly appreciate your forthcoming offer to grant me equal time by publishing a one and a half page feature article on my Green Party candidacy for Congress (CD 6) in the next edition of The Colorado Statesman. Furthermore, I wanted to make sure that you have current contact information for me and my campaign.

I have attached a copy of my nomination speech from the Green Party’s March 22 state convention.

It may also be of interest to readers of The Colorado Statesman that Frank Atwood (the Libertarian candidate for U.S. Representative in CD 1) and I are the designated representatives for the Yes/No Elections Initiative, a citizens’ initiative which would allow voters to vote yes to approve or no to disapprove of each candidate for partisan office in Colorado.

Gary Swing

Green Party Candidate for CD 6
